Value engineering: the same protection, for less where the code allows

We size the agent on the room's net volume and the design concentration of its hazard class, compare both agents before choosing, and check the system against the Egyptian Code for Fire Protection of Buildings (305).

Ours, by the code

49.39 kg of FM‑200 at a default 7.0 % or 59.00 kg of Novec 1230 at a default 4.5 %; we compare both against the listed manufacturer's manual and propose the lower‑cost one that complies.

What you get back from the review:

  • What complies Items that meet the project and the code, left as they are.
  • What exceeds the requirement What can be removed or downsized without a breach: the saving.
  • What is missing What could fail the inspection if it stays missing.
  • Which quantities need checking Quantities we ask you to check against the drawings.

Common questions before signing

What does an FM200 system or a Novec 1230 fire suppression system cost in Egypt?

It depends on the agent quantity (net room volume and design concentration), which sets the cylinder size and number, then the piping, detection and the agent.

Estimate the quantity above, then send the result for a written quotation.

Estimate the agent quantity

FM‑200 or Novec 1230: which suits my room?

Both leave no residue. FM‑200 (HFC‑227ea) usually needs less agent by weight and often costs less, but it is an HFC under a global phase‑down.

FK‑5‑1‑12 (Novec 1230) has a small climate impact and a wider NOAEL margin; other makers supply it since 3M stopped. The calculator compares both.

Estimate the agent quantity

Will installation or testing stop our server room?

We set out the installation stages and time in the quotation and agree the timing of work inside the room with you.

The room integrity test uses a door fan, without discharging agent, and predicts how long the room holds the concentration.

Source:
  • NFPA 2001 Annex C (C.1.1.1)

Will the system pass the Civil Protection inspection?

The decision belongs to the Civil Protection authority, not to us or any contractor, so we do not promise it.

What we commit to: a quantity to NFPA 2001 and the listed system's manual, a room integrity test, and commissioning.

How long do supply and installation take?

It depends on the agent, the listed system, the manufacturer and availability, so we do not quote a general figure.

We state the time and stages in writing in the quotation after the site visit, and agree any shutdown with you first.

Do you offer maintenance for clean agent systems?

Yes: cylinder weighing or liquid‑level checks, the control panel, detectors and abort switches, and a recheck of room integrity if the room has changed.

Every visit ends with a technical report listing only what needs fixing.

Why not take the cheapest offer?

Too little agent or a leaky room may not extinguish and may fail inspection; more is cost without benefit.

We calculate the quantity on your actual room volume. Send us the offer you received for a free review within 48 working hours.
